CFES AfricaCFES exists because Africa's environmental challenges — and its opportunities — are distinct, and deserve tools built for that reality rather than adapted from elsewhere. We combine rigorous research, credible certification, and sustained advocacy to move sustainability from aspiration to standard practice.
Our work spans four audiences: businesses seeking credible certification, governments building environmental capacity, academic institutions advancing the evidence base, and civil society organizations holding all of the above to account.
We're structured deliberately — an Advisory Board of independent experts, a Technical Team driving research and certification, and an Advocacy Team carrying the mission into policy rooms, classrooms, and boardrooms across the continent.
